| Finally a real pub on the beach | |
| Good dinners but a bit more $ than I thought acceptable. (But this is Alki Beach) We liked the happy hour for cheap greasy eats and if you smoke, they had an outdoor area you could sit, drink your beer and enjoy yourself. Waitstaff was just awesome. Loved the people there. |

| great food + great music | |
| the irish sessions on Monday night are great! only think that would make this place better would be serving up some good local micros - don't get me wrong Guiness is good and all, but a nice IPA would be great with a bowl of Irish Stew. |

| Awesome Irish Joint! | |
| My wife and I are new to Seattle, and live in West Seattle. Our favorite watering holes in other towns? Irish Pubs; good food, good atmosphere, Guinness, and no pretentious crowds.
The Swell lives up to all our criteria, and is an awesome alternative to some of the other places down at Alki Beach. We have a lot of regular spots down there, but they are all very similar in feel and clientele. The Swell has a fun ecclectic crowd, and the staff is friendly.
If for no other reason, go in for the corned beef and cabbage. It is fantastic! |
