Hired Josh from the Admiral?
I am always amazed at mop handle idiots that find a job in a great depression. The bartender Josh has ZERO customer service skills. I guess he thinks he is something special. If I am not mistaken, wasn't he the star in the movie PURE WHITE TRASH? Josh has a personality of something between a mop and a door handle. Don't bother to ask for extra grease with the food, it is on the house! I think they finally fixed the plumbing in the bathroom. On the bright side, I would NEVER go back. THE ROYAL INDIA IS THE BEST! They actually appreciate your money and have a much better product.

Great food
Great food, good service, and I love the bar. Stiff drinks bring me back everytime. You shouldn't have to pay for rice with your meal, but you do here. That is the only problem I have.

Best Indian Food
The food has improved greatly since their renovations and new chef. The lamb melts in your mouth, the kofta is a culinary delight, and they serve the best mango lassi on the west coast. Go now!

FOUND STEEL WOOL IN THE BUFFET
Yum EEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Have not been in for quite a while. Last time, the bathroom was disgusting with plumbing sticking out of wall. But I tell ya, I LOVED the steel wool in the buffet. Still, not as disgusting as the ADMIRAL PUB.

Please, never change the bar!
The food is good but the bar is great. I like the fact that there is still some grit in the Junction. As more swank comes to WS it's nice to have a place that I can come as is and enjoy tasty grub and a stiff drink. It is true that the bathrooms might give one a scare but I find the scene next door at the Matador even more scary. The Maharaja bar has a boomin' jukebox, darts, and several tvs usually showing the "game". If this bar is ever given a makeover, It would be a crime if the mural of mid 1970s downtown is not kept. The Space Needle is a little out of wack but it shows my city in its less swanky more gritty days.

so so sad.....
I used to LOVE Maharaja! Until they did the remodel, now I will never return. Before the remodel, I got wonderful service, the staff remembered my favorites on the menu, the food was DELICIOUS! The karaoke in the next room could get a bit obnoxious, but it didn't matter, it was worth putting up with for the tasty food and excellent service. I went in excited after the remodel - it looked great! After being seated, we waited 10-15 minutes until we got any service, we knew what we wanted to eat by that point, but were only asked our drink order and waiter hurried off. By they way, all of our favorite waitstaff are gone and have been replaced. After waiting another 10 minutes we get our drinks and begin to place our order. I ordered the vegetable curry and the waiter told me they were out of vegetables! I'm serious! I couldn't believe that an indian restaurant was out of vegetables. He left to go make sure they were out of vegetables and after waiting another 5 minutes for him to return we decided to leave. Very sad and very hungry. So bummed that my favorite restaurant is no longer!

Agree...great food, good service and worth the visit. But, please clean up that back bar. It needs a major make over... Especially, now that Matador is right next door.

It's ALL Good!
I have eaten here several times, usually getting a different dish, and have never been let down! Great friendly service and a laid back place. Highly recommended.

Maharaja is soooo AWESOME!
I have been going there for years. I was shocked by the back bar area. They have a juke box and a dance floor. The bar tenders are so great and make ya a stiff drink. The food though...that is the best part. I love Paneer Tiki Masala.

the food is fab, drinks are drunk!!!
There is nothing more satisfying then being pleasantly shocked at how wonderful your food is. The other night I had the rack of lamb that was just added to the menu and it was amazing!! I have never had a bad meal here, and you can afford to eat here often. The prices are great and the drinks are strong and served up by a very likeable bartender that isn't afraid to chat it up a bit. Highly recommended, the clientele can be a bit colorful which makes it all the more interesting. One recommendation, stay out of the bathrooms.
