| A unique West Seattle experience | |
| Aside from the fact that Salty's on Alki isn't on Alki, and the food is pricy with not a very imaginative or large menu and pretty bland at that, it's an okay place to take out-of-the-state family and friends because the view is terrific. Come when the weather is good for photos! For a good variety of seafood more reasonably priced...look elsewhere... |

| Pricey, money is paid for the view | |
| If you have guests in town, this is the place to take them for a nice seafood dinner and great view of Seattle. I expect that many engagements are proposed here. However, service is usually slow - unnecessarily so. It's meant to be a dining extravaganza. Food is good, but not out of this world like the prices. It's worth a stop every now and again, but seems to take itself too seriously. |

| I don't mind the price and the view of the ci | |
| ... how can a seafood restaurant only have 1 prawn appetizer and none on the dinner menu? It's a great place to take a date. And if you're looking for the best brunch on the planet you have to go there. No. You won't get $30something worth of food because nobody can eat that much. But the selection is great. I'd say 4 stars except the menu is lacking variety. More shrimp... Watch Forest Gump again and find out all the wonderful things you can do with 'em. Drops it to 3 |

| Worth a try, definitely | |
| Been here for dinner a few times, and Sunday Brunch once. Dinner was okay; good food, kind of slow service, fancy atmosphere. I take work folks there when they travel into Seattle from out of town, and they always love it. For my wife and I? BRUNCH IS FANTASTIC! It seems like a bit more relaxed atmosphere at brunch, and is delicious. Be ready to spend some cash, but its worth it every once in a while. |

| The View | |
| If it's all about the view, you must eat here. A bit pricy and the food can be bland, but all that washes away if you get the window seat. It has a marvelous view of the water and downtown. You won't leave disappointed, no matter what you order or how much you have to pay. |
